Hello! I’m Sunjay Khochare, and I believe in living authentically, embracing the simplicity of rural life, and championing sustainability. With over 20 years of experience in Marketing, Strategy, and Brand Building, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible brands. But my journey doesn’t end there. My heart beats for the villages and the people who live there, and I’ve made it my mission to explore and promote the beauty of village life.
Growing up in a remote village nestled in the picturesque Konkan region of Maharashtra, surrounded by the majestic Sahyadri Ranges, I developed a deep connection with nature and rural living. This has shaped my passion for organic farming, sustainability, and the rich culture of rural India. Over the years, I’ve actively worked with NGOs to encourage organic farming and help farmers adopt sustainable practices.
“I believe that the real India still lives in its Villages even after decades and this is not going to change in the near future”
My travels across India’s rural heartlands have not only introduced me to diverse food and cultural traditions but have also fueled my love for photography—especially capturing the beauty of nature and village life. Through my experiences, I’ve gathered valuable knowledge about ecosystems, sustainable living, and the art of living in harmony with nature.
As the Director of Brand Strategy at ZtoA Marketing Solutions, I continue to balance my professional career with my passion for rural life. I also guide individuals and organizations seeking to understand and embrace village life, offering insights on how to live sustainably and connect with the traditions that make rural India so unique.
As village tourism continues to gain momentum, it presents a unique opportunity to not only preserve the cultural heritage of rural areas but also to create a thriving, sustainable ecosystem that benefits both farmers and tourists. This emerging sector holds the potential to empower local communities, offering farmers an avenue to diversify their income through organic produce, rural homestays, and eco-tourism ventures. For tourists, it’s a chance to disconnect from urban life, immerse in the serenity of nature, and experience authentic rural living. My role is to guide both farmers and travelers in harnessing these opportunities—ensuring that tourism is developed in a way that fosters sustainability, respects local traditions, and supports the growth of rural economies. By sharing my knowledge of sustainable practices and rural culture, I aim to bridge the gap between rural India’s rich resources and the evolving tourism market, creating a harmonious, mutually beneficial ecosystem for all.
I invite you to join me on this journey—whether you’re curious about the rhythms of village life, seeking to live more sustainably, or simply want to explore the rich culture and flavors of rural India. If you’re looking for guidance or simply want to chat about rural living, feel free to reach out. Let’s discover the beauty and tranquility of village life together!
